Nature Doesn’t Discriminate, So Why Should We?
Opportunities across sectors need a level playing field, and the divides we create need a much deeper discussion.
The world has been taken by storm with our views on gender inequality, racial discrimination, casteism, etc. Why? It clearly means that there is a divide. There is discrimination in one form or another, deep down in our social structure.
Is it just limited to that? I guess not!
The divide extends much further. Here we are going to talk about the often forgotten distinct categories of organizations, the “for-profit” and the “not-for-profit” organizations - and our approach toward them.
The former is associated with scalability, opportunities, business optimization, and profit maximization. The latter talks about environment protection, conservation, social & community development, and sustainable development driven by NGOs, Foundations, or Trusts.
The divide between these two distinct categories of organizations concerning remuneration, opportunities, and social acceptance is surely prevalent. But today, our point of discussion is the divided approach between these two categories of organizations towards scalability and, most importantly, accountability.
30-odd years of technological advancements have helped scale businesses and built processes to instill accountability. And largely, it’s been implemented very well in the for-profit sector.
But if I draw a parallel, have we ever wondered about the shockingly limited use of digitization and technology in the not-for-profit world?
Haven’t we missed out on prioritizing process optimizations on the environment, sustainability, community, and social development?
Why have the forums been silent about building scale, putting accountable processes and use of technology - for collaborative growth?
For me, many questions remain unanswered while billions were spent across the world on such causes.
"But that changed after WeNaturalists. That's where I found my answers. Because it's the ecosystem primarily aimed at building a level playing field for all in the social and environmental sectors."
Evidently, all sustainable motives and community services could perform wonders with the digital intervention that can offer greater scale to all working in the social sector - environment and climate action included. It lends a direction to the purpose.
At WeNaturalists, we aim to enable not-for-profits with a level playing field to scale their operations and build successful, scalable models. An ecosystem to land an answer for them to run projects, manage teams, raise funds, and more.
It bridges the long-standing divide between for-profit and not-for-profit organizations while promoting awareness, scalability with digital solutions, and effective communication for collective action under one roof.
It is a matter of time before we shall witness for-profits coming together at WeNaturalists to support such an intervention. To create a hugely motivating environment for all of us to build a powerful world together on equal footing.
