The power of action: Impossible to ignore
End of 2016, less than 5 years ago:
I was working hard, long hours, and I wanted to be promoted for the first time (from graduate analyst to a consultant); I aimed for a high performer rating.
This was the lowest point in my career. I did not think it was fair. But here I was. Sitting in a rented 20 square meter studio with my salary of 30k with no promotion, no bonus, on HR plan. I was depressed, then I was angry.
This was a catalyst. I took #action. Things picked up.
2021: I got promoted 4 times in less than 4 years and have been recognized by multiple industry awards.
What did I #learn? 3 simple things:
Do not let anyone tell you are not good enough.
