Company showcases counter drone technology that can take over every machine with click of one button
The Washington Examiner’s Mike Brest was given an in-person demonstration of technology by D-Fend Solutions, which focuses on counter-drone takeover technology. Their EnforceAir platform allows for the operator of the system to identify and track drones, quickly pulling up where it took off from and whether it’s been modified, before taking over control of the drone at the press of a button.
Emerging drone tech firms are powering the defense industry’s next chapter
Agile drone technology companies like D-Fend Solutions are breaking into a market long dominated by defense giants, winning contracts through speed, precision, and real-world results.
RF-Cyber’s Ascent: Shaping the Next Generation of Counter-UAS Defense
RF-Cyber—a new paradigm that doesn’t rely on brute force, jamming, or physical projectiles—brings precision, control, and adaptability. Rather than disrupting the environment, RF-Cyber solutions quietly scan the local radio frequencies, detecting the unique digital signatures of drones in the airspace.
The Hostile Drone Countermeasures Market: A High-Growth Opportunity in Defense Innovation
The technological backbone of this growth lies in artificial intelligence (AI), directed energy weapons, and multi-layered defense systems.
D-Fend Solutions has developed EnforceAir PLUS, an AI-driven system that combines cyber takeover, radar, and jamming in a compact platform. Such innovations reduce false alarms while enabling real-time responses, a critical advantage in high-stakes environments.

What Were The New Jersey Drones?
In this Q&A, D-Fend Solutions' Brett Feddersen provides clarity on the New Jersey drone sightings that sparked widespread concern last year.
The Primes Hop on the c-UAS Hype Train
This initiative seems like a reaction to some of the Pentagon’s recent c-UAS moves, especially the Army-led counter-drone task force, formally the Joint Inter-Agency Task Force 401 (JIATF).
Security Today 2025 New Product of the Year Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (Drones) category for Innovation
Security Today's New Product of the Year Awards recognize and “honor the outstanding product development achievements of security technology and solutions manufacturers whose products are considered particularly noteworthy in their ability to improve security.” This year, a panel of expert judges selected winners based on the industry’s “commitment to addressing emerging security challenges with creativity and precision.” These are “innovations that will undoubtedly shape the future of security” as well as products “helping keep us safe.”
This marks D-Fend’s fourth Security Today New Product of the Year award (2021–2023, 2025), underscoring the company's leadership in advancing C-UAS technology to secure complex airspace worldwide.

4wThere are no absolutes…there is no ‘silver bullet’ for counter-drone operations…the best technique is not necessarily in expensive but to develop the best defense against drones is to embrace all systems out there to counter all the differing and emerging types of drones…developing a defense in depth to provide as near as possible complete solution. 100%? No absolutes…which in saying that asks to be proven wrong.
