Sisk monthly: June ‘25 Review
Our look back at June across our business is full of interesting stories - we hope you enjoy the read!
Celebrating Pride Month
We proudly celebrated Pride Month across Sisk with a series of meaningful events and initiatives that reflect our commitment to building a workplace where everyone belongs. Our efforts were co-ordinated by our LGBTQ+ Employee Resource Group, True Colours. Now in its second year celebrating Pride, the group continues to provide a safe, inclusive space for LGBTQ+ colleagues and allies.
Sisk Family BBQ
At the end of the month we hosted our annual Sisk family BBQ with over 500 people in attendance at Palmerstown House, Co. Kildare. This event is one of our social highlights of the year, where our staff and their families come together for a day of fun and games.
Funds were raised for our charity partner, Focus Ireland, on the day and we're looking forward to next year already!
Oh, and if you want to see our CEO, Paul, being dunked into water during the event, see the video on our TikTok page here!
€10M Bagenalstown Wastewater Treatment Plant completed
We were pleased to announce the successful completion of the €10 million upgrade to the Bagenalstown Wastewater Treatment Plant in Co. Carlow, delivered on behalf of Uisce Éireann Irish Water and under the supervision of AtkinsRéalis engineers.
Completed over a period of 19 months, the project represents a significant investment in the region’s environmental infrastructure. This modernised wastewater treatment facility has more than doubled the treatment’s capacity from 4,500 to 9,800.

Crafting Bon Secours Limerick hospital...and its replica!
We are currently constructing the new Bon Secours Hospital in Limerick. Once complete, the hospital is expected to become a prominent new landmark for Limerick and the wider Mid-West region on Ireland.
To mark the departure of Bill Maher, Group CEO of Bon Secours Health System, our project team commissioned a unique handcrafted replica of the hospital, which was created by our Joinery and Training Centre team. Cormac Howley, our contracts manager, presented the replica to Bill during his visit to the site in June.
Everyone at Sisk wishes Bill all the very best for the future.
My Graduate Journey - Hadis
In the latest of our series looking at the journeys of both apprentices and graduates across our business, we published the story of how Hadis Saleh, currently Design Coordinator at our Etihad Stadium project, found her way to her present role after joining the Sisk Graduate Scheme.

Etihad Stadium topping out video
You may remember that in May we topped out the Etihad Stadium expansion project. The topping out ceremony signified the completion of the highest structural point of the development, which upon completion will increase the stadium’s capacity to over 60,000, create a new covered 3,000-capacity fan zone, and introduce a state-of-the-art museum experience.
Early in June we released the video with highlights from the event with some key interviews. Take a look below!
Infrastructure team unveil 'Legend-on-the-Bench'
Our Infrastructure team in Colchester were proud to unveil our ‘Legend-on-the-Bench’ in June. The ‘Legend-on-the-Bench’ vision is to combat mental health issues and suicide prevention by providing accessible resources and support to individuals in need.
The concept is to install benches that feature QR codes and phone numbers for organisations who will listen, if someone is in need. The charity is spearheaded by former footballer Micky Hazard and his sister Michelle who were in attendance at the unveiling, along with our client and supply chain partners.
Wheelie enjoyable corporate cycle event
June saw us host our first corporate cycle event for our clients and consultants. We had two groups on the road for a loop out to the Slieve Bloom Mountains from the Bridge House Hotel in Co. Offaly.
The weather was great and a big thank you to everyone who took part and supported the event.
