Q. Our UAE company recently started operations but has not issued any invoices yet. Do we still need to file VAT?
A. Registration of your newly established legal entity with the FTA is not mandatory unless your revenue is expected to reach AED 375,000. However, once this threshold is crossed, FTA registration becomes mandatory to ensure compliance and to avoid any penalties for late registration.
Q. I am in the process of opening up my own company in KSA. Can I sponsor employees or would I be required to have a local partner?
A. Yes, Business owners in the Kingdom are now able to sponsor their own employees without the requirements of a local sponsor. This allows you to manage staff while retaining full ownership control of the business.
