We’re closing out October with major milestones to celebrate — proof that Sunflower Fuels’ vision for Miscanthus is becoming reality.

Our First Revenue

We’re proud to announce our first revenue-generating sale to Lucky Dog Farm in Lexington, Kentucky, following a successful trial of AGgrow Tech 's Revive Miscanthus animal bedding. This marks a huge step forward for our team as we bring natural, renewable bedding products to animal owners across the region. This sale brings monthly recurring revenue and honest customer feedback to further develop the market.

Perry County Partnership

In addition to our first sale, we also sent out an invoice for our first harvest on our Perry County, KY sites for use in erosion control on community development projects. Rolled Miscanthus is the ideal tool to lay down on unprotected ground. Compared to straw, Miscanthus is more durable, 30% more effective, and best of all locally grown on reclaimed mine lands. These collaborations show how Miscanthus can play a role in restoring local landscapes while creating rural economic opportunities.

Field Visit with AgGrow Tech

Early this month, we welcomed Travis Hedrick from AGgrow Tech to our Perry County fields to review crop progress and project harvesting results. Together, we’re working on next-season strategies to scale acreage, increase yield, and expand the impact of regenerative grass systems across Kentucky and beyond.
