2019 was a year of building and scaling for Revolut - we scaled our organization from 800 to over 2000 employees, went live in Singapore, Australia, Public Beta in Japan, Canada and the US, launched our Trading product in Europe, launched GBP Direct Debits, launched free Revolut for Business Plans, operationalized our new entity in Europe (in preparation for Brexit) among many other things. As a result, we saw tremendous growth and continue to be the platform of choice for our customers. This wasn’t easy; we faced some really intimidating challenges, but the great talent at Revolut helped us scale despite these challenges.

I recently found myself wondering - what’s next? What is the next most important problem to solve? What is the path to build the best Fintech Super App for 500M customers around the world? 

  1. Build better product → 2. More Customers → 3. More Revenue & Lower cost → 4. Re-invest Gross Profit to Build Better Product and more customers

By Accelerating step 3. More Revenue & Lower cost, you can accelerate the Revolut flywheel effect to achieve our goals faster. 

I am building a special forces team who will be directly responsible for accelerating the flywheel.  If you’re wondering what this entails - we focus on 2 key aspects:

  1. Scoping and Launching new products/business lines to ensure that our customers get the best from their Revolut Apps
  2. Scoping and Executing initiatives that help Revolut become more efficient - financially and operationally

The motto is simple - Think Big, Think Deep and Execute Effectively. We are a group of folks who love to dig deep and come up with effective solutions to big problems.
