Focus Turns to Total Not-Spots as UK Reaches SRN Milestone Early

The UK's Shared Rural Network (SRN) programme has achieved its overarching target a year ahead of schedule, with over 95% of the UK now within range of a 4G mobile signal. Having met its road and premises targets originally due in January 2027, the programme is now focusing on addressing "total not-spots" - areas with no mobile signal from any operator. Already, 16 new shared masts have been activated across Scotland, England, and Wales, bringing vital connectivity to previously unserved rural communities.
