A legend sets a new record

A landmark moment for the Trident: at Broad Arrow's Monterey Jet Center Auction, a 2005 MC12 Stradale commanded a record-breaking $5.2 million. This sale not only makes it the most valuable modern Maserati ever auctioned but also confirms the enduring allure of a true automotive icon. 

Born from the victorious MC12 race car, the road-legal V12 Stradale is a masterpiece of engineering and rarity, with only 50 exemplars ever produced. This historic achievement is a testament to a legacy where authentic racing heritage creates timeless value. 

Championship glory in the GT2 European Series 

The Trident celebrates another racing landmark as Philippe Prette masterfully secured the GT2 European Series Am Class championship for the second year in a row in his Maserati GT2 with LP Racing. 

Prette’s triumph at Valencia's Circuit Ricardo Tormo was sealed with an incredible display of dominance: two commanding overall victories, one in each race of the weekend. This milestone marks a championship for each full season the #MaseratiGT2 racer has competed in the GT2 European Series – a powerful testament to the competitive excellence that defines our legacy and an exhilarating marker on the countdown to 100 years of Maserati on track.

Did you know?

A masterpiece of open-air grand touring, the 1969 Ghibli Spyder was designed by the master of automotive design, Giorgetto Giugiaro. While stunning in any form, its ultimate expression was the coveted ‘SS’ version.  

Powered by a formidable 4.9-liter V8 producing 335 CV, the two-seater Ghibli Spyder SS was one of the fastest road cars of its era, racing to 270 kph. Its true exclusivity, however, lies in its numbers: of the 125 Spyders produced, only around 25 were built to the ultimate SS specification, cementing its status as a holy grail for collectors. An optional hardtop adds another layer of rarity, making an already exclusive car an even more desirable collector’s piece.
