Using ChatGPT for HR is 0.1% of What It Means to Know AI in HR (AI Readiness Assessment for HR)

The excitement around ChatGPT (and other user-facing Generative AI tools) has created a false sense of AI readiness. And this is true in HR as well.

While using a chatbot for drafting job descriptions or employee communications is valuable, it barely scratches the surface of what it means to be AI-ready in HR.

This is a comprehensive HR AI Readiness Assessment that spans eight critical dimensions, from deep technical understanding to ethical considerations.

From Beginning (80-159) to Intermediate (160-239):

  1. Complete a foundational AI course specifically designed for HR professionals (focus on machine learning basics and data analytics)
  2. Participate in at least three AI implementation projects, even as an observer
  3. Create an AI ethics framework for one HR process in your organization

From Intermediate (160-239) to Advanced (240-319):

  1. Lead an end-to-end AI implementation project in your HR department
  2. Develop and present an AI strategy proposal to senior leadership
  3. Build a cross-functional AI governance committee and lead it for six months

From Advanced (240-319) to Expert (320-400):

  1. Design and implement an organization-wide AI adoption strategy for HR
  2. Create an AI Center of Excellence within HR in your organization and mentor other professionals
  3. Develop predictive models for at least two critical HR processes
