Takeaways from the World Agri-Tech in London

Article content

On September 22, we joined the World Agri-Tech Innovation Summit in London, where our CEO Matteo Vanotti took part in a panel on the role of data platforms and supply chain partnerships in accelerating sustainable agriculture.

Two key messages emerged:

  • Technology as an enabler of collaboration: digital platforms can address both farmers’ and companies’ needs, and make supply chain integration smoother and more effective

  • Data at the heart of strategy: collecting data in real time improves operational efficiency, ensures traceability and transparency, and supports better-informed decisions, creating value from field to shelf.

Key Takeaways from the Agri Data Green Summit 2025

Article content

We are proud to have hosted in Milan our annual event, the Agri Data Green Summit .

This year’s edition brought together over 200 experts from the agritech sector to discuss how data and innovation can serve natural capital and help transform agri-food supply chains.

Through three thematic workshops, participants exchanged ideas and experiences, emerging with the following key takeaways.

  • The Farmer’s Digital Field Notebook as an opportunity: established under European regulations, this digital record-keeping system will become mandatory in 2026 in EU countries with the main objective of regulating the use of plant protection products on farms. Beyond compliance, it represents a real opportunity to collect valuable data and enhance supply chain traceability.

  • Data-driven regenerative agriculture: protecting soil health requires agronomic practices based on primary and measurable data.

  • Geospatial AI serving agriculture: spatial artificial intelligence opens new possibilities for producers and agricultural technology companies to develop increasingly data-driven strategies.
