poolside, an AI coding startup, is partnering with CoreWeave to develop a massive data center in West Texas, called Project Horizon. The facility will eventually have a capacity of 2 gigawatts, with an initial build-out of 250 megawatts expected to be online by late 2026. CoreWeave will be an anchor tenant and has agreed to provide Poolside with over 40,000 graphics processing units for AI development. Poolside is raising $2 billion in funding, with a valuation over $14 billion, to purchase NVIDIA GPUs and expand its model. Google is investing $15 billion to establish a data center and AI hub in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India.
