Over the weekend, our PRTF kiddos had a visit from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte Pre-Dental Club! Together they made marshmallow mouths and used them to teach the kids how to floss properly 🪥🦷️ Thank you so much for spending the morning with our kids and helping them learn proper oral hygiene! 💚 #alexanderyouthnetwork #childrensmentalhealth

We are so grateful to Ace The Stigma for selecting Alexander Youth Network as one of six beneficiaries for their 2nd Annual Charlotte Memorial Tennis Tournament, honoring Chuck Reiney 💚 Ace The Stigma's mission is to defeat the stigma surrounding mental health and suicide prevention. Their goal is to raise funding for programs to increase awareness and provide education and outreach/treatment programs for individuals struggling with their mental health. With Ace The Stigma's contribution, we are able to serve more children and adolescents who are experiencing mental health challenges. Thank you for continuing to support Alexander Youth Network and the children that we serve! #alexanderyouthnetwork #acethestigma #childrensmentalhealth

Recently our PRTF kids had a visit from one of our guest readers, Mikayla! Thank you for spending some time with us reading 💚 Guest readers visit our Charlotte campus to read aloud to one (or more!) of our PRTF or Day Treatment classes. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to interact with our kids, but can't commit to a weekly visit. There are morning and afternoon opportunities for guest readers. If you would like more information on how to become a guest reader, please email Ashley Nieves, Volunteer Engagement Officer, at anieves@aynkids.org or visit our website: https://lnkd.in/gQwsN8Uk #alexanderyouthnetwork #childrensmentalhealth

Our PRTF kids have loved having Larson back on campus this summer! 🎵 During self regulation time, Larson would play soothing music for our kids to enjoy while they colored, read, or just relaxed and listened. Studies show that listening to music can lower stress hormones, blood pressure and the heart rate which spike when experiencing trauma or stress. Thank you for spending time with us this summer, Larson! 💚 #alexanderyouthnetwork. #childrensmentalhealth

Last week two of our team members had the opportunity to do a lunch & learn at Marsh! It was a great opportunity to share more about Alexander Youth Network and how they can get involved as a company and as individuals. After our presentation, the Marsh team stuffed backpacks that will be provided to our kids as they get ready to start the school year! We are so grateful for the relationship we have built with Marsh and all their support over the years 💚 #alexanderyouthnetwork #childrensmentalhealth

Our PRTF kiddos have had several fun activities with the Charlotte chapter of Young Men's Service League - YMSL National this summer! In July they came out twice and did a LEGO building challenge and made slime. The kids always have the best time when this group volunteers 💚 #alexanderyouthnetwork #childrensmentalhealth
