Veeam Software has acquired data security company Securiti AI for $1.7 billion. The acquisition aims to enhance Veeam's data resilience offerings by integrating Securiti AI's data command center, which provides comprehensive data security and governance solutions. Rehan Jalil, CEO of Securiti AI, will join Veeam as President of Security and AI, bringing his expertise in data security to the company. Veeam CEO Anand Eswaran said the acquisition will help customers understand and secure their data, enabling safe AI innovation. The program is designed for law firms, construction firms, and software companies to help them align with insurer requirements and reduce the likelihood and impact of incidents. Matters.AI has announced $6.25 million in funding to launch its AI Security Engineer. The funding includes a $4.75 million Seed Round co-led by Kalaari Capital and Endiya Partners, and a $1.5 million pre-Seed Round led by Better Capital and Carya Venture Partners. The funds will be used for research and development in predictive defense, US expansion, and scaling engineering to meet enterprise demand.
