100 years after GE’s first #SynchronousCondenser helped move electric power generated by Niagara Falls to customers in distant cities, GE Vernova remains a leader in the field. As giant renewable energy projects increase, and become farther from population centers, the grid's vulnerability to disturbances increases. Modern synchronous condensers provide the injection of reactive power needed to recover voltage after these disturbances, alongside improving the strength and inertia of the #grid, dramatically improving stability.
