GE Vernova has announced a significant agreement with Aula Energy to supply 42 6.1 MW–158m workhorse turbines for the 256 MW Carmody’s Hill Wind Farm in South Australia. This project marks another milestone in our ongoing collaboration, following the successful completion of the Boulder Creek Wind Farm in Queensland. Together, these two deals with Aula Energy in successive years highlight the ability of GE Vernova to support key customers in Australia. Located near Georgetown in the Mid-North region of South Australia, Carmody’s Hill Wind Farm exemplifies our workhorse strategy, which focuses on deploying fewer turbine variants at scale to enhance quality and reliability. This approach not only supports Australia’s energy transition but also ensures more affordable, reliable, and sustainable energy solutions. GE Vernova’s deep-rooted presence in Australia, with over 125 years of history, continues to drive decarbonization and support the nation’s renewable energy ambitions. With a strong installed base and a commitment to innovation, we are dedicated to making electricity more sustainable and accessible across the region. GE Vernova Expands Onshore Wind Presence in Romania! GE Vernova has signed a new agreement with PPC Renewables - ΔΕΗ Ανανεώσιμες to supply, install, and commission 14 of our 6.1 MW–158m onshore wind turbines for a new wind farm in Vaslui County, Romania. This marks our second contract with PPC Renewables and builds on continued momentum in the region, including last week’s announcement of 42 turbines for Greenvolt Power. With this latest project—adding 85 MW—GE Vernova’s installed onshore wind base in Romania will exceed 800 MW. Once operational, the project is expected to generate the energy equivalent to powering 38,000 households, supporting Romania’s long-term renewable energy ambitions. Gilan Sabatier, Chief Commercial Officer for GE Vernova’s Onshore Wind - International Markets shared: “We are pleased to deepen our collaboration with PPC Renewables in Romania… this agreement exemplifies our dedication to delivering workhorse wind turbines that will help power thousands of homes and contribute to Romania's renewable energy goals.” Proud to continue advancing sustainable energy solutions across Europe. 💡🌱 Read more in the comments section below. ⬇️ #GEVernova #WindPower #Sustainability #EnergyofChange #Romania #PPCRenewables

We're thrilled to announce our agreement with Greenvolt Power, part of Greenvolt Group to equip their second onshore wind farm in Romania with 42 of our powerful 6.1 MW–158m wind turbines. This follows our recent deal with Greenvolt for another Romanian wind farm, bringing our total contribution to approximately 500MW and significantly advancing Romania’s renewable energy goals. These projects will not only create hundreds of full-time jobs during construction but will also generate enough renewable energy to power the equivalent of over 110,000 homes annually. Gilan Sabatier, Chief Commercial Officer of GE Vernova’s Onshore Wind, expressed his enthusiasm: "We’re proud to support Greenvolt in their mission to expand renewable energy across Romania and Europe. Our turbines are at the forefront of decarbonization, providing high-quality, affordable, and sustainable energy solutions." Join us in celebrating this major step towards a more sustainable future! 💚 Read more in the comments section below. ⬇️ #GEVernova #WindPower #Sustainability #EnergyofChange #Greenvolt #Romania

Exciting times at GE Vernova Salzbergen as we welcomed WindEurope’s delegation to explore our advanced nacelle assembly line, showcasing our commitment to leading Europe’s wind energy revolution. Dimitri Schneider Gilan Sabatier
In our latest Wind Works For Europe episode, Giles Dickson visits GE Vernova’s wind turbine factory in Salzbergen, Germany – one of Europe’s key manufacturing sites for onshore wind. He speaks with Dimitri Schneider about how the factory is adapting to rapid technological progress. This factory has been building drivetrains, machine heads and hubs for over 30 years. These are the core components of a wind turbine – the “big box” at the top of the tower that houses all the electrical equipment. Today, the factory delivers turbines across Europe – with many going to Germany, which has some of the most ambitious wind energy targets in the EU. But it’s not just about machines – it’s about people. The site employs 700 people and covers everything from engineering and project management to manufacturing and services. But to keep wind manufacturing in Europe we need: faster transport permits, better auction design, and bold political decisions to support customers and factories.
