𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐢𝐬 𝐤𝐞𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐣𝐨𝐛𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐝𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐭𝐡 𝐢𝐧 𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭𝐬. But how can institutional investors effectively deploy it in these economies? The World Bank Group, through its private sector arm, IFC, is tackling this challenge through a new #securitization program designed to attract more private investment where it’s needed most. The program’s first issuance of $510 million offers investors a globally diversified portfolio of IFC-originated assets while freeing up capital for new IFC loans to businesses that 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐣𝐨𝐛𝐬 and 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬. ✅ It’s a scalable, “originate-to-distribute” model that helps bridge the gap between global capital markets and local development needs.
