Yesterday we added full MCP support in developer mode to Enterprise, Edu and Business plans. This means you can add, test and publish custom connectors – ones you’ve created, or popular integrations sourced elsewhere – to move work forward from ChatGPT. Today we’re spotlighting Santiago Archila, from the OpenAI People Innovation Labs team, who built an MCP connector between our internal OpenHouse tool and ChatGPT. MCP is a bridge that lets ChatGPT talk directly to other apps - like OpenHouse - so it can source trusted internal knowledge in its answers. With this connector, employees now get more accurate, contextual responses without leaving ChatGPT. It’s reduced onboarding friction, improved cross-team communication, and created reusable infrastructure other teams can build on. Today, Oscar Health introduces Oswell, a first-of-its-kind health AI agent that uses OpenAI models. Oswell provides members with on-demand support, and can connect members to live chats with Oscar clinicians for virtual care and recommend specialists in the Oscar network. You can now build, test, and publish custom connectors for your ChatGPT workspace - whether it’s one you’ve created or a popular integration sourced externally. This means ChatGPT can now take action in your tools. Kick off workflows, create tasks, update your CRM, or combine connectors for more complex orchestrations. In developer mode, admins and owners can add MCP connectors, test them, and publish them once they’re ready. You control who can add, test, and use each connector. We’re announcing a new collaboration with Thermo Fisher Scientific, the world leader in serving science, to use OpenAI technology to improve the speed and success of drug development, enabling customers to get medicines to patients faster and more cost effectively. Thermo Fisher is launching ChatGPT Enterprise at the company, making it easier to build confidence and fluency with frontier AI. The company is also embedding OpenAI APIs into critical areas of its business - ranging from product development, service delivery, customer engagement and operational efficiency. Today, we're announcing an expanded strategic partnership with Salesforce, which will make OpenAI models accessible as preferred options within the Salesforce platform and Agentforce 360 apps accessible in ChatGPT. Agentforce Commerce will also integrate with the Agentic Commerce Protocol - the standard that powers Instant Checkout in ChatGPT - giving merchants a new way to reach hundreds of millions of potential customers. Today, we announced a new partnership with Walmart that will start with allowing customers and members to soon shop Walmart through ChatGPT using Instant Checkout. Whether planning meals, restocking household essentials, or finding something new, customers can simply chat and buy, and Walmart will handle the rest. Walmart is also empowering its associates with AI tools and training, including promoting AI literacy across its workforce as one of the first partners to embrace OpenAI Certifications and rolling out ChatGPT Enterprise to teams across the company. Starting today, you have two new ways to use ChatGPT with Slack. First, we’re bringing ChatGPT directly into Slack. Once approved by a Slack admin, you can chat one-on-one with ChatGPT in a dedicated Slack sidebar. It’s a space for you to ask questions, brainstorm ideas, draft posts, and solve hard problems faster. Once you connect the Slack app, your conversations will stay in sync. Anything you start in Slack will also appear in your ChatGPT sidebar on web or mobile, so you can pick up right where you left off. And second, you can now connect Slack directly to ChatGPT. With the Slack connector, you can ask ChatGPT questions about the channels and messages you have access to – helping you track decisions, prep for meetings, and surface up insights from customer and project discussions. Starting today, ChatGPT Enterprise and Edu admins can centrally deploy SharePoint for their entire workspace. This makes the connector easier to manage and more targeted in its answers. Admins can scope access to the content that matters most - selecting which SharePoint sites and folders it can access to keep responses focused while keeping irrelevant or sensitive content out. It also means employees don’t need to set up anything themselves; it just works. When someone asks a question, ChatGPT will automatically know when to reference SharePoint files for the answer, with existing file permissions and role-based access controls applied. If you've already connected SharePoint, deploy it team-wide in Admin settings → Connectors → SharePoint → Deploy to team.
