We all know that Visa is everywhere you want to be. And, that also means it can get you out of those awkward and unexpected situations you really don’t want to be in.    That was the idea behind our new collaboration with Ryan Reynolds and his team at Maximum Effort. The funny thing is, they actually pitched it to Visa years ago, but it never really went anywhere, until I got wind of it when I connected with Ryan earlier this year.    Historically, humor has not played a central role in our brand. I think the view has been that financial services and payments have always been very serious categories.    But in a world where we’re battling for attention, the hardest part is having stopping power — and humor is a great angle in. This commercial takes our iconic catchphrase, “Everywhere you want to be,” for a fun twist that strikes at a real human experience.    Our slogan has long been connected to the idea of cross-border travel, which is a major area for transactions at Visa. When it comes to travel, or life in general, people want solutions to two things — problems and dreams.    We gave them the dreams part, but this commercial is all about solving problems. We’ve all been in a situation that we wanted to get out of — being able to use your Visa card in even the most unexpected places can help you do just that.    Our Visa creatives had so much fun making this with Ryan and the team (check out the photo in the comments). Their sharp wit and creative approach to storytelling helped us show that the payments space doesn’t have to be serious and dry. Day 2 of our Featurespace Customer Forum 2025 delivered! 🎉   We kicked off with a fascinating talk (including a very convincing deepfake) by James Mirfin, followed by Dr Gregory Allen's keynote “En-abling technology: Using Generative AI to level the playing field in employment for workers with disabilities” showed how AI can do more than catch fraudsters, it can dismantle barriers and create opportunities 🤖💙 And then an hour with our brilliant Innovation Lab who shared seven of our most exciting & boundary pushing research projects. After lunch in the great hall, a PSD3 panel featuring Nicky Goulimis, Paloma Garcia Muñoz, Claire Riley, and Rebecca James, exploring how new EU regulations will reshape fraud prevention strategies 🇪🇺⚖️ Some amazing conversations with our customers at Yonder and Danske Bank followed.   Plus, Scam Detectors LIVE! brought our podcast to the stage with Jane Wakefield facilitating expert insights from Steve Goddard, Becky Holmes, and Suzanne Lynch on how fraud is reshaping consumer experiences 🎧🔴   We concluded with our awards ceremony, celebrating our fraud prevention community 🏆✨   Thanks to every customer and partner who made this forum a success! 🙏 until next year!
