I’ll never regret investing in a strong content strategy from day 1 at a company. There have been so many times in a sales process—especially in the early days—when I would get feedback from reps that prospects were finding us & wanting to have a conversation because they saw something one of us shared on LinkedIn, listened to a podcast one of our execs was on, or read one of our industry content pieces. If I had limited resources, here’s how I would prioritize content development: 1️⃣ Have your exec team start posting regularly on LI: You want them to be seen as THE thought leaders and influencers in the space. By establishing their personal brand, they build an audience for your organization and drive pipeline. 2️⃣ Use original data: Create content based on internal data (anonymized, of course!) from your product, surveys you conduct, the information you collect, or drinking your own champagne stories - these are unique angles that people or AI can't copy, and this content educates and performs well. 3️⃣ Video: Video is a win for any organization because you can get started with little investment and scale up to higher production as you grow. Showing the human side builds authenticity for a brand and it's easy to break longer videos into shorter clips suitable for social sharing. 4️⃣ Leverage influencers: B2C crushes the influencer marketing game, and we're seeing more B2B brands leverage trusted industry experts in their field to boost brand reach and establish credibility—whether by having them as advisors at their company, getting them to speak at their industry event, or having them share a post on social media. 5️⃣ Quality over quantity: AI writing tools are amazing, but I'm also seeing them used to produce high volumes of content that lack quality. I promise it’s okay not to have a blog out each week or the same webinar every month. Be unique and break the mold! What else would you invest in with content?

In 2025 and beyond, the ability to consistently create good organic content on social is a legit business superpower. And most people I work with? They’ve had more of a casual affair with LinkedIn. They pop in, flirt with posting for a few weeks, then disappear for a few months. Like any questionable fling, the intention was there... the commitment? Not so much. What I do is help people turn that casual affair into a real relationship ... one that actually grows their following, their influence, and ultimately their career. No one-size-fits-all playbook. Everyone’s different. But once I get to know someone, I help build a strategy that works for them. Here are two frameworks I often use: 1. Content Pillars Pick 4–6 topics you want to be known for - things you care about, talk about, or want to explore. Examples: Industry trends or insights Career lessons Leadership and team building Personal growth Humor and satire Product or service breakdowns We keep it simple. A Google Sheet with buckets and ideas under each one. The point is to go from "I don't know what to post" to "which of all of these excellent content ideas should I post this week". 2. The 3-2-1 Method Six posts every two weeks: 3 industry insights 2 broader professional takes or ideas 1 personal story or experience Eventually, we ramp that to weekly. If you're trying to figure out how to build influence on here without sounding like a wannabe thought leader, this is how we do it.

Have you ever wondered how to amplify your influence and reach on LinkedIn? Let me share a strategy that's been a game-changer for me and can be for you too. Firstly, identify thought leaders like Gary Vaynerchuk, whose audience aligns with your ideal target market. By engaging with their content regularly, you can tap into a community that's ripe for your message. Use tools like evyAI to maintain your unique voice while commenting efficiently. This isn't just about visibility; it's about building genuine relationships and establishing your expertise. Thirdly, harness the power of hashtags. You may have the best idea, backed by solid data, yet no one seems to listen. It does not necessarily mean that you should leave. Instead, try working on your influencing skills. See, with more teams working remotely and across different geographies, it is easy for your work and your contributions to get lost. And, the 2 things that will help you avoid this are personal branding and influencing skills. My focus today is on influencing skills. [Drop me a note if you would like me to do the same for personal branding.] Having great influencing skills allows you to: > Lead people and projects without necessarily having a big title > Easily get along with people from any part of an organization > Get your ideas and suggestions considered when making any major decision. Long story short, they make your life easier. Here are 5 steps to improve them: 1️⃣ - Know your stuff There is no shortcut to being good at what you do. 2️⃣ - Know the business Understand how things work internally and how external factors impact the company. 3️⃣ - Connect and communicate effectively The goal is for people to know you and what you bring to the table, and for you to understand their realities. 4️⃣ - Demonstrate your value The more you make people's lives easier, the more valuable your viewpoint becomes 5️⃣ - Showcase your impact Your work won’t speak for itself, especially when you work with people remotely. Speak up 📢 Influence is built on credibility and trust. As you follow these steps, your recommendations will eventually carry more weight. Mind sharing your experience or more tips?
