Frequently asked questions

  • ISV Success provides resources for building AI-powered apps with Azure OpenAI, access to Azure Cognitive Services, and training sessions on AI. Copilot developers can also take advantage of additional software company support, including events, expert consultations, and product benefits.

  • Software development companies who are building B2B applications on the Microsoft Cloud and intend to publish through the Microsoft commercial marketplace are eligible for ISV Success benefits—free for 12 months with no commitment to renew.  


    After 12 months, participants are eligible for the following discounted renewal packages—$1,500 (USD) annual fee for the Core Package and $4,000 (USD) annual fee for the Expanded Package.

  • Yes, ISV Success benefits can complement other Microsoft programs like Microsoft for Startups. While you can’t stack Azure sponsorships, you can toggle between subscriptions.

  • For renewal, you need to continue developing B2B apps, meet publication requirements, and maintain your Microsoft AI Cloud Partner Program status. The annual renewal fee for the Core Package is $1,500 (USD).

     

    For the Expanded Package, you’ll be invited by your ISV Success Engagement Manager based on performance criteria and intent to transact through the marketplace.

  • Through Marketplace Rewards, software development companies receive sales and marketing support, including listing optimization, social promotion, and Azure Sponsorship to create and run demos—helping you significantly boost marketplace sales.

  • ISV Success helps facilitate the publication of transactable offers through the commercial marketplace, which is essential for accessing co-sell benefits, including technical consultations that can help boost your listing and accelerate sales.

     

    Additionally, you can access on-demand resources, Office Hours, and the Marketplace Community to get questions answered about transactable publishing.

  • ISV Success supports software development companies that offer transactable professional services only if the service is attached to a transactable app owned by the same software company. Publishing a professional service alone does not qualify for enrollment or renewal.

    For Marketplace Rewards, Marketplace Billed Sales (MBS) from professional services will not count towards the MBS tier. Only MBS from transactable apps will unlock Marketplace Rewards benefits.
