Jennifer is an award-winning investigative journalist, editor, and dynamic newsroom leader with two decades of experience navigating the fast-paced world of news. Renowned for her versatility, Jennifer excels at shaping content strategies, leading high-performing teams, and managing the relentless demands of breaking news.
Most recently, Jennifer served as Editor-in-Chief of Business Insider's News Division, overseeing teams across the US, UK, and Singapore. Under her leadership, the newsroom earned its first Pulitzer Prize in 2022—a testament to her vision and commitment to excellence.
Jennifer is celebrated for her ability to attract and nurture diverse talent, foster collaboration, and set new industry standards through her innovative use of data and analytics. She began her career as a local reporter for the Herald News and Bergen Record before moving to the New York Daily News, where she covered everything from crime to national events and entertainment.
In her spare time, Cunningham volunteers with the Newswomen's Club of New York – the nation's oldest nonprofit advocacy group for women in the newsroom – where she is the immediate past president.
