The Reading GlowFEST will go on today from 4 to 9:30 as scheduled, but the expected Ferris wheel and other carnival rides will not be there, city officials announced Saturday.
Though ride contractor Tons of Fun Shows pulled out of the event, food and retail vendors, entertainment and a variety of activities will still go on in the 500 and 600 blocks of Penn Streeet. The Nemesis Fitness’ 4th Annual Free Community Glow Run begins at 6 p.m. To register for the run, visit RunSignUp.com/Race/PA/Reading/GlowRun3.
Free parking for the event will be available courtesy of the Reading Parking Authority from 4 to 10 p.m. at the Chiarelli Garage, 69 N. Third St., and Cherry Lot, 341 Cherry St.
