Every day there seems to be twice as much work and half as much time to complete it in. This results in either extended periods of wakefulness or a decrease in sleep over an extended period of time. While some people may like to believe that they can train their bodies to not require as much sleep as they once did this belief is false (1). Sleep is needed to regenerate certain parts of the body, especially the brain, so that it may continue to function optimally. After periods of extended Goals After 3 days of nursing intervention the client will have proper and adequate sleep. Objectives: The client will experience a refreshed sleep continuously. Encourage exercise The client will take a night-hour sleep each day as well as nap or restperiod. The client will have good physical activities in the morning Assess the sleeping environment of the cient Recommend positions for sleep that provide adequate support Recommend a nap or rest period each day Sleep position greatly affect time of sleep A rest or nap in the day wil replace the inadequacy of sleep in the night Exercise will promote good circulation and proper activity in the day will promote sleep during night time Good sleeping environment will Promote and stimulate sleep.
