CLASSROOM EXPECTATIONS

BE PREPARED
Please bring to class each day:

a pencil - NOT PEN 3 ring binder NOT SPIREL NOTEBOOK loose-leaf paper

ENTERING THE CLASS * Be seated before the bell rings * Write in your planner *Set up C-Notes Taking Cornell Notes
Set up your notes after writing in your planner Review your notes NIGHTLY and write 5-7 sentence summary and 3 critical questions

Participate in Class o No sidebar conversations o Listen and follow directions when given o Work not completed in class becomes homework due the next day Homework o All homework assignments are expected to be completed and turned in ON TIME NO LATE WORK IS ACCEPTED Excused absences from class have the length of the absence to make up missed work and turn it in. THIS IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE STUDENT

Many of the assignments I give to students will be via a closed online environment, which allows students to interact, collaborate and watch short video lessons and even take quizzes.

CORNELL NOTES
1. REVIEW NOTES 2. CREATE 3 CRITICAL QUESTIONS CORRISPONDING TO THE NOTES 3. SUMMARIZE THE NOTES (5-7 COMPLETE SENTENCES) AND ANSWER THE ESSENTIAL QUESTION

Students MUST check Edmodo daily for posted assignments Replying to posts
Students must reply in complete sentences. No Text language allowed
