Planning ridges the gap between where we are and we wish to be. It is the first function of management. Planning involves selecting mission/ Objectives & action to achieve goal. Planning requires decision making i.e. choosing from various alternatives.

Plans are the foundation of management.


Setting Objective/goal how to achieve them. What kind of organization structure to have. Staffing :- What type of people we need. How most effectively directed need people. How to furnish standard of management.

Being aware of opportunity available. Establish Objectives or goal. Developing Premises. Developing alternative course of action. Evaluating alternative courses of action. Selecting a course of action. Formulating derivative plans. Budgeting.

Planning Steps in Preparing for College


First they are aware of opportunities to attend college & the opportunities derived from a college. After that they set objectives in a variety of areas , such as the area of study . They also develop Planning premises thus they make the assumption that scholarships are available ,some students may assume that they want to stay in the same area or the same state. In each situation there are many alternatives available.

Then the various alternative then be carefully evaluated. After receiving several acceptance letters ,the student have to select the appropriate college. After making a decision they need to formulate derivative plans , which may include selecting housing , moving to the new location. Then the student need to numberize their plans by converting them to budgets.
