Notes:
The numbering for verses are from the 5th chapter of the book cha.nDI,
in which the devas were
singing this particular stava as they were ousted by shumbha and nishumbha
from devaloka . The numbers are verse numbers, each namastasyai is for one
of the triple manifestations described in one word, for example vishnumAyA
is three: sAttvik, rAjasik and tAmasik and the namo namaH is three also:
kAyik, vAchik and mAnasik.
