PREFACE
I have immense pleasure in placing this book CSAT Paper-II before the aspirants of the UPSC Examinations. Civil Services Examination is considered to be amongst the toughest exam in India. Competition level in this exam is very high but the success ratio is least. With some experience in this eld, initially as an aspirant and later on as a Civil Servant, my endeavor is to provide best possible guidance to all future aspirants. This comprehensive volume would enable the readers to acquire complete and detailed understanding of various aspect of syllabus prescribed by the UPSC. My rst-hand experience as a faculty member imparting guidance to the students has been a great source of inspiration and helped me immensely in writing this book. Preparation for Civil Services Examination, taking Mathematics as optional subject also helped me sharpen the ideas and arguments developed here. This book has ve sections, that is, Basic Numeracy, General Mental Ability, Logical Reasoning & Analytical Ability, Data Interpretation and Decision Making & Problem Solving. Each chapter contains Theoretical aspect at the very beginning followed by Solved Examples & Practice Exercises. I am grateful to my parents, who have been showering their blessings.
