Q2. Consider a simple balanced three-phase power system network where a generator is connected to a large industrial load via a transmission line. The one-line diagram which represents the network is shown in Figure 2 where the specifications are as follows: Nominal system voltage = 20kV Load: P=20MW and Q=10MVAR Line: 10km long, 0.04/km series resistance, 0.18 /km series reactance

Compute the elements of the bus admittance matrix Y. Calculate the phase angle 2 by using the real power equation at bus 2. Determine V3 and 3 by using both the real and reactive power equations at bus 3. Find the real power generated at bus 1. Evaluate the total real power losses in the system.

Q4. The power flow data for a 3-bus system are shown in Tables 1 and 2. Assume that there are no reactive power limits for the generator bus.
