Stage 1- Desired Results Station/Center 4 Computer Content Standard (s): 2.L.

1 - Understand animal life cycles and be able to describe it and the animal. SL.2.2 - Recount or describe key ideas or details from a text read aloud or information presented orally or through other media. W.2.6 - With guidance and support use a variety of digital tools to produce and publish writing, including in collaboration with peers. 4.L.1.2- Explain how animals meet their needs by using behaviors in response to information received from the environment. 4.RI.9: Integrate information from two texts on the same topic in order to write or speak about the subject knowledgeably Understanding(s)/Goals: -Students will learn how technology can enhance learning and how to can make our writing come to life.

Essential Question (s): -How can we tell about what we learned about animals by using technology? -How can we work in groups to present our information learned?

Student Objectives (outcomes): - -Students will be able to apply what they have learned and express it by using technology. They will be able to create a type of media to teach the rest of the class what they learned.

Stage 2- Assessment Evidence Performance Task (s): - Students will type their research papers. They will also use technology to create a presentation about the animal they chose to research. They can make a powerpoint, voicethread,iMovie, or whatever else they would like.

Other Evidence: -Students will present their presentation to the class.

Stage 3- Learning Plan Learning Activities: - Students will be able to use the laptops or Ipads to create a presentation of their animal. Students will also type their papers before doing the presentation. Students can choose how they would like to present and what type of media they would like to use. Some of the options available are movie maker, powerpoint, voicethread, gloster, a blog or if they have something else they would like to use. -Students will incorporate five things that they want to teach the class in their presentations.
