Disable Java Update

To disable automatic Java updates so that Coeus will continue working properly: 1) Right click the Java icon in the taskbar and select "Open Control Panel"; 2) In the Control Panel, uncheck the "Check for Updates Automatically" box under the Update tab; 3) Click "Never Check" to prevent Java from checking for updates without your permission.

How to Disable Automatic Java Updates

Coeus does not work with the most current version of Java, so you will not want to allow updates to Java. Below is a list of instructions to prevent Java from automatically updating itself.

1. When you start Coeus, a little Java icon will appear in your task bar, like the image of the coffee cup below.

2. Right click on the icon and then left click on "Open Control Panel" on the menu that appears. 3. Once the control panel opens click on the tab labeled "Update". You will see a screen like the image below. Simply uncheck the box labeled "Check for Updates Automatically". Then click OK.

4. Another box will appear like the one below. Click on "Never Check" and finally OK on the Java Control Panel to close it.
