ENCOURAGING DRIBBLERS DESCRIPTION: 4v4 plus Goalkeepers. Condition the game so players must dribble to aack or move the ball forward. No forward passes allowed but both teams can pass sideways or backwards. The goalkeeper can pass, dribble or roll the ball out, he cannot drop kick or throw the ball overarm.
SCENARIOS DESCRIPTION: 4v4 plus Goalkeepers. Provide both teams with a real life or an imagined scenario. For example, AC Milan 3 v 0 Liverpool 10 minutes left, how will both teams set up and play? An imagined scenario could be, Youre 2-1 up with 5 minutes to play in the FA Cup Final. If you have odd numbers in your session, one team have had a player sent o how do they respond? Both teams will have to set up and play in dierent ways exposing them to dierent types of pressures and tactical challenges.

DEFENDING AGAINST OVERLOADS DESCRIPTION: 4v4 plus Goalkeepers. The defending side must always have two aackers in the opposing half of the pitch (Whites in the diagram). This creates overloads in the aacking half. The aacking side must decide whether they want to commit everyone forward or leave one player holding.

My only question is with ENCOURAGING DRIBBLERS drills would the defense start pushing up so high because they do not have to defend against a long pass. If the defense pushes so high up would this drill start losing the game feel that this drill is supposed to have?
