Reading: Students will read, When I Went to the Library and there will be a test on Friday. The reading strategies we will be covering this week are: Generate questions while reading and make inferences. A.R. Every day for 30 minutes Writing: Informative Writing Grammar: Unit 3 week 1: Action Verbs Spelling: Unit 3 Week 1 words: r-controlled vowels Vocabulary: Story vocabulary is on the weekly focus sheet and the strategy is word parts/ base words. Wordly Wise: students will continue with lesson 7 and the test is on Friday. Math: Division Ch. 13 we will begin with model division with 3 digit dividends then move on to the standard division algorithm of (DMSCB) Divide, Multiply, Subtract, Compare, and Bring Down. Students must also know how to break apart division word problems, interpret remainders, and relate multiplication to division.

Students were treated to a delightful, educational assembly about self-esteem and behavior. The Ned Show is the story of NED, a lovable cartoon character whose name is an acronym for Never give up, Encourage others, and Do your best. SPOTLIGHT ON CHARACTER ~ FAIRNESS During the months of November and December, our school-wide character focus will be on FAIRNESS. Being fair means you play by the rules, take turns, treat all people fairly.
