Q.1 “Infosys is one of the world’s top providers of software consulting from applications
and development to maintenance “ How did Narayana Murthy build one of the biggest IT
companies in India?

Ans : Narayana Murthy posses sound management skills, he came back to Indian 1975 and with
this concept that only the way to buildup India from poverty is to build the companies and
enhance the job ratio as much as possible and reduce the poverty from the country.

At that time there was not any software market in India Narayana Murthy decided to build a
software company called Infosys . In this industry Infosys is the first Indian company in which
Us Generally Accepted Accounting Principles were followed at that time. As Narayana Murthy
having sound management skills and being a CEO of Infosys develop many strategies for the
company, his focus was on the world’s most challenge market US, Narayana Murthy followed
the Global Strategy which is comprised of three features like, global delivery model, moving up
to value chain and PSPD (four fundamental). After following all these strategies INFOSYS is
one of the world’s top providers of software consulting from applications and development to
maintenance.

Ans : Definitely human resources are the greatest asset of company, the HR policies of Infosys
are this company has rigorous selection procedure as well as proactive HRD. This company has
the promotion opportunity for employees as the employees could be retained in the company,
also providing many benefits to their employees like ticketing, credit card, housing finance and
crèche facilities for kids. This is the first company in the India which is offering the stock option
plan to its employees and having no any overt or covert prejudices.
