The sequence in which the Self Study report material should be arranged and bound should
be as follows:

The table and figures shall be introduced in the appropriate places.
PREPARATION FORMAT:
Cover Page & Title Page . % specimen copy of the Cover page & Title page of the Self
Study report are given in Ae!"re #.

Ta$le o% Cotet& ' The table of contents should list all material following the table as well
as any material which precedes it. The title page and Certificate will not find a place among
the items listed in the Table of Contents. /owever these will contain the page numbers of in
lower case ,oman letters. 1.' spacing should be adopted for typing the matter under this
head with font si0e 1 for headings and si0e 11 for sub1headings.

tables in the te2t. 3ne and a half spacing should be adopted for typing the matter under this

7. FORMAT TO BE USED FOR TE8T MATTER

%s a character font$ use Times or Times &ew ,oman. The font si0e must be 1 point in the te2t
including formulas$ equations$ table headings and figure captions. %t least + point should be used in
figures$ tables and superscripts or subscripts. )ootnotes$ long biographical quotes and e2clusive
quotations should be 1F points. Chapter Titles should be bold 1" si0e in sentence case$ /eadings
should be bold and 1! si0e and sub headings should be bold and 1 si0e.

Spacing of the te2t material shall be 1.' or when necessary integer multiples thereof. )or e2ample$
when a paragraph ends$ the ne2t one starts after pressing ,8TG,& twice 52C,7 to get two 1.'
spacing.
7.7. Le%t A.9"&tig
The left adHusting point of titles and headings shall be 1.'K from the left edge of the paper. <ou can
use the appropriate left adHusting command in computer typesetting.
7.:. Margi&
Aargins of pages shall conform to the following specifications:
L #eft margin . 1.' inch from edge of paper
L ,ight margin 11.F inch from edge of paper
L Top margin . 1.F inch from edge of paper
L =ottom margin .1.F inch from edge of paper
The above margins shall be observed on charts$ graphs$ tables$ and drawings. )olded papers will not
be accepted unless there is absolutely no other way for the material to be presented.

8ach page in the report 5e2cept the title page7 is e2pected to bear a number. 3nly one side of the
paper may be used for printing. The page number shall be incorporated on bottom right corner of the
page using %ooter. The left of the %ooter will contain full e2pansion of the department of study e.g.
De1art*et o% Co*1"ter S,ie,e a. Egieerig. The /eader will contain name of the college
at the center.
The preliminary section$ including the title page$ certificate$ declaration$ ac6nowledgementsM table of
contents$ etc.$ should be numbered$ using lower case ,oman &umerals$ e.g.$ i$ ii$ iii$ etc.

which will be made available by the institution. %ll reproduced copies shall be on %" si0e
water mar6ed photocopier paper$ which will also be made available by the institution.

3nly laser printer or 9n6 :et printer output is acceptable. Printer settings must comply with
%"1si0e paper and must be so that the page is not resi0ed in printing.

The student batch should submit one copy 53n 82ecutive bond7 per student in the batch and
two additional copies 53n %" copier shhet7. 9n addition every batch has to submit one C>4
>;> containing the report. The C>4>;> should be properly labeled with Title$ Students
names$ guideEs name and department.
