Song

song title: Yummy

Artist: Tom Garnett

Genre: House Music / Dance

What are the conventions of the music video from this genre?
The music videos for House music tend to have messages about dancing, love,
sexuality.A house music video sometimes has a group of people doing dance
moves (freestyle) to showcase their talent because the theme of the songs are
usually about dance of the beat of the song is supposed to motivate a person to
dance.
Another code&convention of a House music video is that it tend to have scantily
clad women doing sexy and seductive dance moves. Also, they are usually
dressed in clothes that expose their bodies and clothesthat will attract a male
audience.
How are you going to meet these conventions in your video?
I am going to get a professional dancer to freestyle and show off his moves. i will
also incorporate an attractive girl into the video as i also want to attract male
audience.
Location :
The rst location i will be using is an bandoned cottage in the middle of a forest a photographer had scouted for me as
it has been vandalised with brightly coloured grafti and this will match the codes and conventions for the house music
genre perfectly the second location will be inside a well designed hang outs of our target audience Wakkaberry (in
South Africa)
Costume :
i will be using the latest fashion in up to date seasons for our target audience, all costumes will be in style and the
latest trends. for example all of the dancers clothing was newly bought. the blond singer will be wearing a brightly
multicoloured dress and her dress will be brightly coloured matching the bright tones of the interior design of
Wakkaberry.
Lighting :
i will be using a combination of soft and strong lighting to give the feel of both day and night as the dancer will look
more condent in bright light and the singers will look more sexy and mysterious in low lighting.
Shot types :
i will be using a combination of close ups and wide shots for example a close up of the dancers feet to shot how
complicated the footwork is.
Research
What music videos have you watched to research your genre?
i have researched house music by Djs such asDavid Guetta, Deadmau5, Avicci, Tieso and
more.
How have these videos inuenced the decisions made? Include screen shots of the key
inuences
It inuenced my decision to make a fun light hearted video, this is because the music is so fun
and vibrant you want to match it visually.
i then also decided that a key convention is use brightly coloured music video as well as hire a
professional dancer and some cute girls so its appealing to everybody.
Lyrics
Insert the song lyrics below
I'm feeling Yummy head to toe (you see me)
Ain't got no patience so let's go (you see me)
Look, I'm diet drama
Wanna spend the night? Don't bring pajamas
Man there's so much heat beneath these clothes (you see me)

Walk in, the place
They know, my face
Encore, sophomore
Only one solo, I swore
Big mouth, applause
Oh please, one more
Wanna hear it before I say naw
Let me check my itinerary
Ummm, alright
Presto, skintight
Escaped & I risked my life
For what? So I can watch them bite
Only one Gwen you can find like this, I mean blow your mind like this
Your key won't shine like this, if it's yours then you know it won't wind like this
(Wind it up)

[CHORUS]
I'm feeling Yummy head to toe (you see me)
Ain't got no patience so let's go (you see me)
Look, I'm diet drama
Wanna spend the night? Don't bring pajamas
Man there's so much heat beneath these clothes (you see me)

Now sweat, baby
Get stupid, jump up go crazy
L.A.M.B, in 3D
Worldwide across your TV
P you crazy, how'd you get this?
This sounds like disco tetris
Do I have time to connect this?
Let me check my itinerary, Ummm
