Overview
The world language program in SCS focuses on applying foreign language skills
to real-world situations.
Goals
Throughout the school year, students will develop their skills in Spanish
through writing, reading, speaking and listening activities. Students
should be entering Spanish 2 around a Novice Mid to Novice High
Proficiency Level. By the end of the school year, all students will be
tested on the AAPPL exam and should show growth in their language
skills aiming for a rating of Intermediate Low or Intermediate Mid.
Student Behavioral Expectations
All students are expected to show up to class on time, every day. If a
student misses class, they need an excused absence form. While learning
a foreign language can be difficult, students are encouraged to make their
greatest effort to learn the language.
