What are your immediate plans for professional development (within the next 1-2 years)?
Collaborating with a mentor teacher and other highly effective educators in the
building to learn the best possible ways to engage students. I plan on attending
teacher conferences and reading daily on effective teacher practices along with
researching topics and ideas of how to differentiate my lesson plan. Within my
first two years, I want to continually grow my abilities in effectively designing
creative ways to assess students.
What are your future plans for professional development (3-5 years)?
Continue my education and attain a Masters degree in either Educational
Leadership or Developmental Psychology. I will continue to keep an up-to-date
online blog or website containing educational information as well as personal
experiences. Within the next five years, I have a personal goal of becoming a
content area leader and will seek the formal opportunity to mentor new teachers.
