Extra Curricular Activities
-French Honor Society (2013-2015)- As a member of FHS I qualified sophomore
year as a level three French student. Our society meets about twice a month after
school to plan socials in which I participate in cultural activities or attend fund raising
events to help associations such as Relay for life. These socials occur during
weekends.
- Fashion Club (2013-2014)- As a designer for the Cypress Bay Fashion club, it was
my duty to design a collection for the season of summer. This included the entire
design process, from sketching to sewing the designs for the runway. The Seasons
Runway happened at the Cypress Bay auditorium in February.
-Interior Design Club (2012-2015) As a member of both the Interior Design class
and club, I have learned how to use online programs such as, Autodesk
Homestyler to create home plans. In the club we sew products(blankets, bags,
headbands) sold to peers to support the club or donated to associations. Through
this club I am able to practice sewing and exercise my creativity,
-Yoga (2013-2015) As a yogi, I practice at least twice a week either at the YMCA
or anywhere I could ground myself into nature. This is a practice of mental and
physical strength. Meditation and stretches allow me to release stress from
academics.
Community Service
-Project Stable (2012-2013) - As volunteer, my job was to clean horse stables, feed
animals at the ranch, clean and prep horses with riding gear and finally either
sidewalk special needs kids or lead a horse. Whilst side walking I would aid kids to
gain both mental and physical strength by leading them in a stretch routine or
playing games. Most importantly, through this non-profit organization I got the
opportunity to befriend some incredible children who taught me a lot.
Honors, Awards, Recognitions
Employment
-Child Care Technician (2012-2015) I have been trained and certified by the
American Red Cross to ensure the safety, diversion, and happiness of infants or
children and the peace of mind of parents. I provide my services whenever Parents
wish, about once a month.
