Playbuilding Assessment Term 1

PART A
Students will form groups of 3-5. Students will use playbuilding to devise an original
performance of approximately 6-8 minutes long using the following stimulus for the
performance:
Music
Fairy tales
Digital Footprints
Each student must individually document the playbuilding process in their Digital
Logbook as well as comment and collaborate with their groups. Students must ensure
that they document all steps of the process as outlined in class and on the class

The logbook must have entries that record your groups thoughts and ideas, reflect
upon your process and the decisions your group makes. Document any research you
find that is relevant to your Playbuilding piece.
PART B
Perform your 6-8 minute Playbuilding performance in weeks 9-10.
Students must wear drama blacks or a costume when performing.
The performances will take place in weeks 9 and 10 in our double lesson. Groups will be
selected randomly by me. Logbook must be completed by the last drama lesson in week
10.
