Stay tuned for information regarding Black History Month events from specific grade levels.

Saturday, Feb. 7 Saturday School (10am 12 noon)


Topic: Academic Games; Scholars should wear their uniform shirt. BRING A NOTE if your
child will not attend. Absences are excused with notes.

Friday, Feb. 6 2026 Field Trip to the Air & Space Museum
First graders will end their astronomy unit with a trip to the museum and a
screening of an IMAX film about the planets.
Friday, Feb. 6 Hampton & Moravian Field Trip to Sibley Hospital
Third graders will visit Sibley Hospital to learn about public health, the
importance of self-care, and professions in the medical field.
Friday, Feb. 13 No School for Scholars (Teacher Work Day)
Monday, Feb. 16 No School for Scholars (Presidents Day)
Wednesday, Feb. 25 2025 Field Trip to Discovery Theater
In celebration of Black History Month, second graders will attend an interactive
play based upon the lives of aviators Bessie Coleman and Bill Powell.
Thursday, Feb. 26 Advisory 3 Midterm Reports will be sent home. Please sign
and return to school on Friday!
Friday, Feb. 27 Birthday Celebrations @ 3:45pm; To avoid distractions, to
learning, celebrations only occur once a month on this date.
Saturday, March 7 Saturday Scholar School (10am 12 noon)
