The document describes various props used in a film production. It explains that a television was used to reflect light on a character's face and block out noise. Fake blood and a napkin with initials were used in a flashback to show a character being tortured. A knife was used to make a character appear intimidating by reversing roles from victim to antagonist. A chair and duct tape were used to tie up a character after duct tape on a radiator was uncomfortable. A white sheet served as a background in a flashback to focus on a character's face and create mystery. A towel and lamp were also important props - the towel blocked daylight through a window and the lamp provided dimmed lighting for filming.

The main use of the TV
was for the reflection of the light to hit Aarens face. It also creates a mystery why it was turned on and it blocks out any noise The man might make to prevent anyone from finding him.
FAKE BLOOD & NAPKIN

Fake blood was mainly used
in the flashback so the audience could see Aaren in pain after being brutally tortured. Also the napkin was only used in the flashback where we see the man dabbing the blood off Aarens face. It is also personalised with his initials. This is the most information we find out about him.
KNIFE Pi

ur
We used the knife to
make Aaren appear more intimidating and overpowering. This is a sense of irony as she was originally the victim and the two characters had a rollreverse making her the antagonist.
CHAIR & SELLOTAPE
Originally we used sellotape to tie Sam to the radiator but as we were shooting for long periods of time, it was to uncomfortable for him. We then decided to tie him to a chair using the sellotape. This looked better as you could see him in the background in more of the shots. The reason we tied him up was to show he was imprisoned.
WHITE SHEET Pi

ur
We used a white sheet as a
background in our flashback. This is because it is plain and we want the audience to focus on Aarens face not her surroundings. This is also so you cannot see the location of our filming as it creates a mystery.
TOWEL & LAMP

The towel and lamp are not props
you will see in our production but theyre very essential. At our location we have a door with a window in. Using a towel we hang it over the door to prevent the daylight shining in, creating a darker atmosphere. As for the lamp, it is used for the opposite reason. Weve used it to create a duller lighting then daylight but so its bright enough for the camera to pick up good footage.
