Introduction:
Google Groups is designed to help people communicate better through email and online
discussions. This technology is free for any user who signs up and creates an account. It
allows a member to create public as well as restricted groups. Furthermore, it enables
one to search and view over 1 billions postings by other members. It guarantees easy
communication with colleagues and group members with the ability to mass email with
only one email address. Also one can bookmark ( ) topics of interest for easy
identification and future access so you can stay in touch with your interests. There are
many uses for a Google Groups account like keeping in touch with your family, friends,
club members, and other organizations.
Procedure:
Creating an account
1. Go to www.google.com and click on Sign in.
2. On the sign in page, click on Google Groups, located on the lower left of the
webpage.
3. Once you are on the Google groups website:
4. Once you are on the Create a Google Groups account page, fill out the necessary
information. (Be sure to enter a valid email address and a password that you will
remember.)
5. After reading the terms of service, click on I accept. Create my account.
6. An email Verification page with the following message will load up:
In order to verify that the email address associated with your account is
correct, we have sent an email message to (your email address here). To
activate your Google account, please access your email and click on the
link provided.

7. Sign in to the email address you used for this account.
8. After accessing to the email sent by Google Groups, click on the given link. This
link will directly take you to your Google Account. This page will look like

9. Go to www.groups.google.com and Sign-in using your email ID and password.
A screen similar to Picture1 will show up.
