This document reviews the Western Digital Blue 1TB internal laptop hard drive. It has a capacity of 1TB formatted to 93168 using NTFS for £84 from cclonline.com. It has a SATA3 interface and 5,400rpm spindle speed. Though it only uses one platter instead of two, allowing it to be slimmer at 7mm thick and fit inside many ultra-portable laptops. It provides lots of portable storage in a slim package at a low price. Benchmark tests showed it wrote large files at 86MB/s and read them at 100.2MB/s, while small file writes were 29.4MB/s but reads were faster at 67.8MB/s.
