Apparatus Required

The document describes procedures to determine the performance of an air blower. Key measurements are taken at the inlet and outlet of the blower at different opening settings, including pressure, temperature, flow rate and energy consumption. Calculations are outlined to determine values like air density, discharge rate, head of air, and blower efficiency based on the readings. Sample calculations are provided for one setting of full opening to demonstrate the process.

Check the connections of air blower.

Ensure blower at exit should be open.
Start the blower.
Set half opening at exit of blower.
Wait Study flow of air at blower.
Take orifice meter reading of actual pressure pitot. Take at inlet and out let room
temperature and energy meter reading for 10 flash.
7. Repeat the above Procedure at and full opening for air exit and note down the readings.
8. Note down all reading and calculate and note down in tabular Column.
