Count to 120, starting at any number less than 120. In this range, read and write numerals
and represent a number of objects with a written numeral.

or reinforce skills b)
Assessments:
Students will be accessed through their individual story, which will be summative.
Students will have formative assessment during the lesson in the form of the
online game ABCya.com (Base Ten Bingo).

Anticipatory Set:
Students will move their owl to the tree to take attendance.

The instructor will read the objective to the students: SWBAT identify numbers
one through 10 by completing three different centers.
The instructor will read students the book, The Right Number of Elephants while
asking prompting questions to the students such as: what number do you think will come
next?
Procedures: 3-groups of 5
Read the book The Right Number of Elephants
While reading the book ask what number of elephants do they think it is going to take to
do the next task. See if they can recognize how the numbers are counting down.
Tell the students that we will be doing three different centers today Math with
teacher, Math by myself, and Math on the computer. Demonstrate Math on computer and
show Math by myself activity. Dismiss each group back to their center.
Each center will have 15 mins per center. We will have a student turn off the
lights to let the class know when it is time to move to the next center.
1. Math with teacher students will play a game based off the book each student will
have a turn doing a problem on the interactive whiteboard.
2. Math by myself students will complete an activity that they will have numbers
and will have to cut and past how many dots it takes to fill in the ten frame to match the
number. Students will also make up their own story of how many elephants it took to
complete a task and have them represent it in a ten frame.
3. Math on computer the students will use the website abcya.com and play the
game Base Ten Bingo.
UDL Implementation (be sure to reference the UDL Educators Checklist for this section)
Reading text, verbally hearing the information, actively participate in flip chart
Students will complete a problem on activinspire, Students will complete a cut
and past activity as well as write a story about how many elephants it took to complete a
task, last the students will play Base Ten Bingo.
Physically moving objects on activinspire, cut and paste dots and place in ten
frame, Play the game Base Ten Bingo off of ABCya
Closure:. Ask the students how they showed different ways to represent numbers in their
activities and Share their stories they wrote of how many elephants it took to complete a task.
