Weight Implementation of Neural Networks in OPAMPS

This document discusses implementing neural network weights using operational amplifiers. It first provides a simple equation for calculating neural network output as the sum of inputs multiplied by their respective weights. It then explains how an operational amplifier can be used as a summing amplifier to combine multiple input voltages into a single output voltage according to the given equation. Finally, it provides the circuit diagram and output equation for a summing opamp, showing how the opamp configuration can be used to physically implement neural network weights and summation.

Simple weight implementation:

Output = Yk = (Xi)*(Wi)

Summing Amplifier
In theInverting Operational Amplifierthat the inverting amplifier
has a single input voltage, (Vin) applied to the inverting input
terminal.
If we add more input resistors to the input, each equal in value to
the original input resistor,Rinwe end up with another operational
amplifier circuit called aSumming Amplifier, summing inverter
or even a voltage adder circuit.
TheSumming Amplifieris a very flexible circuit based upon the
standardInverting Operational Amplifierconfiguration.
As its name suggests, the summing amplifier can be used for
combining the voltage present on multiple inputs into a single
output voltage.

CIRCUIT OF A SUMMING OPAMP:-

Vout is given by:

Vout= -Rf(V1G1+V2G2+V3G3+
.+VnGn)
Where G=1/R
Wi= -RfGi & Xi= Vi

Output:
Vdd , Vout>Vdd
Vout=

Vout , Vss<Vout<Vdd
Vss , Vout<Vss

where Vdd= +10

and
Vss= -10
