Brief Description
Students will create a journal to describe their
feelings and questions that arise as the
course progresses. Students will be instructed
to have a minimum of 3 entries per week on
1, 2, 3,
topics relating to their understanding and
4, 5, 6, 7
concerns about how religion fits into their life.
The teacher will respond with feedback.
Students will be awarded a contract grade for
completion of their journals weekly.
Exit slips will be used on selected lessons so
that I can understand what the student has
learned from that days lesson.
1, 2, 3,
The exit slip will be used as an assessment
4, 5, 6
FOR learning because it will be used to check
where the particular student needs help and
the direction of the next lesson.
Students will separate into groups based on
different passages that describe different
covenants in the bible. When each student
becomes an expert on that passage, they
1, 2, 3
will combine into a group with students from
the other passages. Each student will
describe their passage and the covenants
described in order to complete the Gods
Family Plan Covenant table
Students will create a flow-collage in groups
to outline the parts of the Mass. Students will
1, 2, 5, also choose five words from a Gospel passage
6, 7
that stand out. Pictures will then be taken of
ALL group members to represent each word
the group has chosen.
The students will complete a unit test at the
1, 2, 3,
end to create a final understanding through
4, 5, 6, 7
assessment OF their learning.
