The lesson plan aims to teach students to identify the consonant digraph "th" in words. Students will review what the "th" sound is, think of examples, and then find words containing "th" independently by filling out a worksheet. Their completed worksheets will be assessed to check if students can correctly identify and write words with the target digraph. The lesson supports a state standard about knowing spelling-sound correspondences for common consonant digraphs.
