NORTH SENIOR JUSTICE DIXON PURSUING 38 YEAR OLD SCHOOL RECORD


February 16, 2016--Evansville, IN

Entering the final week of regular season Indiana high school basketball
games, Evansville North senior Justice Dixon is chasing history. With 166
assists thru his first 19 games, Dixon is pursuing a 38 year old school
record of 176 set by John Miles in 1978. Averaging 8.7 assists per game,
Dixon ranks second among Indiana high school players according to
www.maxpreps.com and could break the record this weekend when the
Huskies play at Sullivan, Indiana.
The 5 11 senior is a three year starter for the Huskies and currently leads the team in ALL statistical
categoriespoints scored, rebounds, assists, and steals. A role player in past seasons, he honed his
exceptional passing skills feeding the ball to other guards for scoring opportunities. What makes his 2015-16
accomplishments more remarkable is that he is carrying the burden of putting points on the board as well as
providing assists to other teammates.
NINE DOUBLE-DOUBLES IN 2016
Dixon has produced double figures in both points scored and assists in NINE of the Huskies 19 games this
season. Against Central on February 13, he recorded the second Triple Double of his career with 12 points,
10 rebounds, and 11 assists. An unselfish player throughout his career, he currently ranks Third all-time at
North with 377 career assists and First all-time in assists per game with 6.2.
A tenacious defender, Dixons all-round athleticism allows him to disrupt opponent defenses as well produce
points for the Huskies. At his current pace he will graduate ranked in the top five in both assists and steals.
He has been, by definition, a consummate play maker for the Huskies throughout his career.
